LOT 599
1956 Chevrolet
Bel Air Convertible
The car is an older restoration that was done to a very high standard. The car has had very little use since it was restored. It has been garaged in California the entire time.
The brake system was recently reconditioned. The wheel cylinders have rusting problems when stored for long periods of time. I replaced all three cylinders and the Master cylinder, filled with fresh brake fluid.
Tires are very old and should be replaced before any extended driving.
Otherwise there are virtually no safety features on the car. Built before seatbelts were required.
There is no crush zone between your knee and oncoming bumper, just some thin sheet metal.
