The Century, equipped with itâs original 322ci/236hp engine and Dynaflow automatic transmission, is named such for easily doing 100mph, became Buicks performance line of production vehicles. Their performance and reliability was substantiated by becoming the vehicle of choice of the California Highway Patrol in 1955. This 1955 Buick Century convertible, with what is believed to be original 38,400 miles showing on the odometer, has been restored cosmetically and mechanically with new paint, complete new interior upholstery, new top, new tires with chrome Kelsey Hayes spoke wheels, new brakes, new battery, etc. Original working options include power windows, power steering, power brakes, power top and rare power seat.
