LOT 602
1935 Ford
Hi-Boy High boy Roadster
This well built highly durable utility box trailer was transformed into a U.S. Army water Trailer.
The equipment supply wagon and personal sleeping accommodations for the 7th cavalry historical reenactors was specifically designed and customized in order to perform and handle the ever changing rigors of the Northern Nevada high desert and rough terrain as a part of the Annual Reno Cattle Drive.
The basic trailer was purchased for $4200.00 and then more than $6800.00 of additional custom features were added.
The trailer has heavy-duty suspension and a 3,550 lb. axle, which was installed and reversed to give additional ground clearance.
Custom Wheels and all terrain off road tires, including the spare were added.
An electric trailer tongue jack was a welcome addition to assist in the lifting of the 1,500 lbs. of the additional weight once the 200 gal water tank was filled.
The water tank is equipped with a high pressure pump connected to a 3/4' water hose.
The diamond plate locking utility box provides plenty of additional storage space for miscellaneous maintenance items and hand tools.
The finishing touches come from the glued and bolted wood siding, steel hoops and custom built canvas cover with ratchet tie downs on one side and canvas zipper enclosures at each end.
The final result is an authentic modern version of an Old West Prairie Schooner covered wagon
